This morning the entire school had golf practice but by classes. Our coach was a man and he taught us how to aim and how to whack the ball into the hoop. In my team it was Sophie-Isabella, Anavea and me. I think golf was fun and I hope we do it again.
I am a Year 8 student at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 12 and my teacher is Mrs Golder.

Buddy Reading
For the last few weeks we have had buddy reading with Room 7 this year. Room 7 decided to come to Room 12 so we had to read our books to them. This week buddy reading has stopped so everything is back to normal. Reading is good for us because it helps our knowledge.

Hosting the Syndicate Assembly
It was Room 12's turn to host the Syndicate Assembly. Anyone who didn't have a turn hosting in the last assembly had a turn in this one. I think Room 12 did very well for planning an amazing assembly. This was my very first time being the assembly host. Hosting the assembly was a little hard because we had to memorise our lines and this was a little hard.

Back To Tech
Back To Tech
Every Wednesday Rooms 11 and 12 go to Tamaki College for Tech. We were supposed to be painting but then everyone forgot so we had to continue with our poster. Students working hard on their chromebooks and others were on their posters. We had to create a poster on store and what did it looked like, what it sold and how much it cost.

Yesterday's Assembly
Yesterday's Assembly
Yesterday I was absent and Rooms 9, 10, 11 and 12 had a syndicate assembly. While they were handing out the certificates I was at home sick. I had never had a certificate this year so I didn't think I would get one. I came to school and some of the year eights were saying that I had got a certificate.
I had thought that they were lying but then after fitness Mrs Golder had told me in front of the class that I got a certificate for handing in my homework on time and receiving an A- for the first time. I was surprised and really happy for myself. Now I know that if I do my homework I won't get into trouble.

Our Science Experiment
A few weeks ago Rooms 12 and 11 had science together. The first experiment was to make a lava lamp. Everyone was exited because it was fun to look at it.
Gardening
Gardening
On Monday all the boys were called up to fill the garden with bark. It looks tiring but they finished it on Tuesday and got a reward. They were a little dirty but they managed to clean the nasty dirt off.
Well Done Boys!!!
